Essential Oils for Hormone Balance – Part 5

Hot flushes:

These can diminish drastically with a few simple changes to your daily diet. Avoid coffee, sugar, processed foods and alcohol. These tend to act as triggers as well as worsening the intensity. Remember to increase your water intake too, and add an electrolyte if necessary as you will lose vital body salts through excessive sweating.

Top essential oils for calming hot flushes:

  • Cypress: Cooling properties
  • Peppermint: Cooling and effective for increasing circulation
  • Geranium: Hormone balancing. Stimulates the pancreas, therefore, can help with blood sugar imbalances and diabetes.
